Cookie Policy
A short list, because it's a short list: here's every cookie Skedulaa sets, what it's for, and how to control it.
At a glance
Just two necessary cookies
One keeps you signed in, one is Rails' own CSRF/flash-message cookie. Nothing else runs by default.
Live chat needs your OK first
Our Tawk.to widget only sets a cookie once you accept it - never before.
No tracking or ad cookies
We don't run analytics or advertising cookies of any kind, from us or anyone else.
Change your mind any time
"Cookie Settings" in the footer reopens the choice whenever you want.
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working and are on for everyone - they don't need your consent, and there isn't a way to switch them off and keep using Skedulaa.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
session_id |
Keeps you signed in to your account | Persistent, until you sign out |
| Rails session cookie | CSRF protection and one-time page messages (like "Saved") | Ends when you close your browser |
Functional cookies
If you accept them, we turn on our Tawk.to live chat widget, which sets its own cookies to remember your chat session. This is the only cookie on Skedulaa that needs your consent, and it stays off until you give it - declining, or just not answering, means it never loads.
Your choices
You can accept or decline the functional cookie the first time
you visit, and change your mind at any point afterwards from
"Cookie Settings" in the footer of any page. You can also block
or delete cookies entirely from your browser's own settings,
though doing that for session_id will sign you out.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the cookies we use change, and update the date at the top when we do.
